Your Child's First Trip to the Dentist

The Children's Dental Center, along with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), recommends bringing your child to the dentist by the age of one year. The earlier your child comes to the dentist, the better it will be for your child.

Bringing your child at this age, allows us to evaluate your child, discuss proper oral hygiene techniques with your child, and to start building a foundation of trust.

WE TAKE GREAT CARE OF YOUR CHILD!

At The Children's Dental Center, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care that meets the unique needs of each child. Our goal is to ensure that every visit is a positive and empowering experience, setting the stage for a lifetime of healthy smiles and happy memories.

Why Early Dental Visits Matter:

Bringing your child to the dentist at a young age allows us to evaluate their oral health, discuss proper oral hygiene techniques, and begin the process of building trust and familiarity with dental care. Research shows that children who visit the dentist early on are more likely to develop positive attitudes towards oral health and maintain regular dental habits as they grow.

Making the Dentist Fun:

We believe that dental visits should be enjoyable and positive experiences for children. That's why we strive to create a welcoming and playful environment where kids feel comfortable and at ease. If your child is old enough to understand, we encourage you to talk to them about their visit and reassure them that we're here to explain everything and answer any questions they may have.

Earning Your Child's Trust:

During your child's first appointment, you are welcome to stay with them to provide comfort and support. However, as they become more familiar with our team and surroundings, we may suggest allowing them to interact with the dentist and staff independently. This helps us establish a strong rapport with your child and encourages them to feel confident and at ease during future visits.
